TriMet Columbia Bus Base

The new TriMet Bus Base adds a fourth bus garage in order to provide storage and maintenance as TriMet expands its fleet and improves transit access for people throughout the region. The project includes the redesign of a site with an existing heavy equipment maintenance facility. The project will be designed and built in two phases to allow for TriMet use of the site as soon as possible. The site is about 4 acres. The garage will employ about 330 bus operators, up to 100 maintenance, cleaning training management and other support positions.
